Irene Weibel

Irene Weibel is an Emmy Award winning executive creating and producing compelling content built for the kids and family audience. Currently, an independent producer, Weibel has held a senior leadership role as Head of Studio at Nelvana, part of Corus Entertainment in Toronto. As an independent producer, Weibel is currently Executive Producing a series for Wild Brain/Family Channel titled Summer Memories. Wild Brain holds worldwide distribution and licensing and merchandise rights in the series.

Weibel was the Co-Founder of the company Sutikki which served as the Co-Producer of Moon and Me, a BBC commissioned series. Weibel was on the frontlines of structuring and raising the 30 million dollars of financing to produce the series. Her credits also include Hotel Transylvania The Television Series for Disney and Little Charmers and Mysticons for Nickelodeon.

Weibel is currently consulting as a Creative Producer and in the areas of Licensing, Merchandise and Distribution with a roster of select partners. She continues to curate and manage a select slate of series in development with key talent.
